1st June 1982

Great day weather-wise. Typed to Uncle John & sunbathed most of afternoon. Went to shop. Radio good. Wol & Lin came til 10-ish.

2nd June 1982

Lovely day again but didn't go anywhere except the garden to sunbathe. Also in extension. Got tan! Madness No.1. Pope cute on telly!!

3rd June 1982

Awfully "close" today & glad it thundered in afternoon & rained. Still no cooler! Went to shop & lazed around. TOTP crap.

4th June 1982

LIBRARY 4 MA!! Got £4.13p! More now cos some off Mum & Dad. They went to Burnley so I stayed at Woljes. Very hot day.

5th June 1982

Fun packed today! Took Heralds & roasting(?) Also went to Town with 2 stooges & bought Led Zepp LP. Ace. Got cort in storm at Pleasure Beach. Enjoyed rides.

6th June 1982

Not funpacked today. Glad there were no thunderstorms! No bath. Have to get flower 4 Art. Listened to ace Led Zeppelin LP. Also radio & watched last 1 of "A Kind of Loving."

7th June 1982

Go to Woljes for 1.30pm. Did but Doughty not there. In fact school looked deserted. Anj not in, Chez was & me & Wol had some tea there. Lovely day cos not hazy. Listened to recrods & saw The Street.

8th June 1982

Eng Lang GCE Exam 1.30pm, also morning. Both exams were short but finished in time. Lovely day & ace at home with music on. Adam Ant No.1. Yuch!

9th June 1982

Meet Chez 12.00. Took geranium down to Art in Sixth Form. Grot weather but didn't rain. Went to Woljes & another solicitor's address off Linda.

10th June 1982

Up too early really. Wolj & Anj round in aft & went to Library but couldn't join. Windy & warm. Wol & Lin down & looked at photos. TV, radio crap.

11th June 1982

Art 1 1.30pm. Meet Wol 1-ish. Chuffed with parts of plant I drew but flower too dark. Went to Lin's & had laugh when Anj & Hilary went.

12th June 1982

Up before 10. Took Heralds & after swill went to Town & lad called John followed Lin. Note the name! Spoke in weird voice. Dull but warm day. Actually done some Art!!

13th June 1982

Didn't see Wol & Lin today cos had to do some Art for tom. Chuffed with finished product & gonna paint prelim in morning.

14th June 1982

Art II Exam 1.30pm. Write to Solicitor's. Forgot! Knew I should've done something! Art exam on 4 3 hrs! Glad it's overwith. Hope I've passed. Watched Brazil v USSR (who won) in World Cup.

15th June 1982

Weird not having to go to school. 12 new entries in chart! Adam Ant still No.1. Crap! Scotland actually beat New Zealand 5-2!

LIBRARY TOMORROW!! Awful boys in Singos loud-mouthing so couldn't sunbathe til Mum came home. Wol & Lin in funny mood. England beat France 3-1!

17th June 1982

Mum's Birthday. MUST GO TO LIBRARY!! Did & also with Wolj to Central Library. Ace TV series "Fame."

18th June 1982

Not exciting day. Listened to radio. Didn't go out partly cos it was peeing it down all day. Scotland v Brazil. Brazil won 4-1.

Moody today although I unwound meself up Town cos I like it there. Weather dull but quite warm. Pop Quiz had Tony Banks & ace Gillan on. Clip of ace Led Zeppelin at end credits.

20th June 1982

Sun came out after swill but couldn't be bothered with sunbathing. Ma went to Enid's & I read some of ace Libary book from Central.

21st June 1982

MIDSUMMER'S DAY. Not looking forward to lights coming on sooner 3mins from tonight. Rained practically all day & posted letter to Solicitor's. NI v Honduras 1 each. Street had heavy rocker on it, horrid!

22nd June 1982

Rained all day again so didn't go out. Had bath late on to try to clear head which has partly worked. Lin came & got letter.

23rd June 1982

Rained all day again. Didn't go out. Quite dizzy in head but felt better after bath. Scotland out of W Cup. Wol & Lin came & letter at solicitor's.

Got up too late to do anything really. Read L book & couldn't go out cos of weather. Poor Ropey & Dad argued over bike. Alright now. Watched ace N Ireland beat Spain 1-0 shocker & Spaniards swines in 1st half so that was their reward!

26th June 1982

Busy day. Glad it was sunny for once! Went to Dentist, shop 4 Ma. Quid extra so bought PINK FLOYD LP at £2.25! Good eh??!

27th June 1982

Grot weather til afternoon. Took Peggy out with Ma. Told Lin off 4 going to Pub last night & without me! Radio crap. Record good. Watched 'Family Reunion' & ace fella in it is called Pete or Paul in real life.

28th June 1982

Went to Careers Office with Wol & ended up in Coronation St in a Tourists Office 4 interview & typing test in aft before which I was sick with nerves! If I get in £39 a week permanently. No hols peak season.

29th June 1982

Sunniest day 4 a while & quite warm. Went to Town with Wol & Anj & Wol had in/view at Mothercare. Wool shop before tea. Watched England in a goalless draw with W Germany. What a boring match!!

30th June 1982

Lovely day again with nice cool breeze to go with sun. Can go on YOP scheme at TI (in Coronation St) to gain experience. Chris Lewis, tennis player is fit!
