1st April 1981

Steven Earl's Birthday (12). April Fool's Day. April Fool on Mrs Smith & Mr Lovell (Lancy incl in 2nd one). Didn't see him much. L'pl beat W Ham League Cup.

2nd April 1981

Not in talkative mood (with Wend & Chez but did have laugh with Wol, Lin, Shaz & Juz). Didn't see DL but not really arsed! Got Shaz pressy.

3rd April 1981

Sharon Earl's Birthday (15). Gave Shaz book. Wore ear-rings. Saw DL a couple of times. He seems quiet & doesn't speak to Wendy much.

4th April 1981

Up before 9am! Unusual. Lovely day. Aldiniti won G National (mine Royal Mail 16/1 came 3rd). Oxford won Boat Race. UK won Eurovision Song Contest!

5th April 1981

Weather not as nice as yesterday. Listened to radio. Couple of different programmes on. Top 40 on too. Watched telly incl last one of Elizabeth R.

6th April 1981

Sunny in morning but not when we were out! Lancy, Dave R, Chuck mutinied so demoted. Still joining Navy! Came over at dinner-time. Used to it now.

7th April 1981

Saw DL at break who spoke to Wend with Chuck at Lanc entrance (near us too). Didn't see him at d-time but had laff outside. S Stevens No.1.

8th April 1981

Found out someone at Cadets wants to go out with DL - NO CHANCE! He's gay anyway the bum! I luv him really! Warm day without sun. Telly boring.

9th April 1981

Warmer day (sun came out occassionally too). Saw DL only twice (behind us in corridor - cute)! Nowt much happened today. TOTP only had K Marshall, Saxon, G Bonnett good.

10th April 1981

EASTER HOLIDAY. Not fair. ALL 5th Yrs got sent home before dinner. Saw DL first thing & came back for books. Beautiful, warm sunny day. Hope hols weather nice.

11th April 1981

Humid day with no sun! Up early. Ironed for Ma & cleaned bike (went shop too). Chez not in so didn't ask her about book. Had radio, r player on & telly good.

12th April 1981

SPACE SHUTTLE LAUNCHED at 1pm. Warm day with no sun again. Washed hair over bath. Listened to records & radio.

13th April 1981

Cold in morning (windy) but became really warm in afternoon. Not exciting day. Shop & listened to radio, messed with typewriter.

14th April 1981

Main event today was going to see "Superman II" with Mim, Phil, Paul & Rog at Pictures. Ace film. Weather nice too. SPACE SHUTTLE LANDED. Watched brill play (winning award).

15th April 1981

Up quite late. In afternoon went to Town with Sharon & there for quite a while. Bought Rainbow (band) badge - a book called Liner for myself. Saw Chez.

16th April 1981

Beautiful day. Breeze bit cool in the morning but really warmed up later on & I got red face now! Saw Shaz. Chez not in. May go baths next week (open).

17th April 1981

Sunny day but bit cooler. Shaz & gang at work (I would gladly work there if cow-bag Mrs Parsons didn't own shop). DIE! DIE!

18th April 1981

Sunny again but couldn't sunbathe cos it's too cold! Mum bought ace red dress with white stripes, belt, etc. Wish she'd get herself one.

19th April 1981

Why does it ALWAYS have to be dull & cold on Sundays?! It is ALWAYS boring on Sundays whether it's a "rest day" or not! Sooner sun's out the better.

20th April 1981

Very depressing day cos nothing to do. If I went out on my bike I would've got knocked down cos my concentration bad (migraine). S Davies won snooker.

21st April 1981

Up bit earlier but sleep during night marred by migraine. Mum get some Migraleve tomorrow. Ma fed up with Dan & why not? Wish he'd pipe down.

22nd April 1981

Got Migraleve & iron tablets today. Sorry can't write much cos Tibby crawling all over me! Didn't feel very vee but I worry a lot!

Here's me worrying to death about me insides & Doc (stand in Paki) sed it were just constipation! Very cold (snowed in morn)!

24th April 1981

Wish my head would get better. Danny bugs me - sometimes. Took me all day just to write letter to Uncle John & gang. Mum tired.

25th April 1981

Horrible day weather wise & whenever I went into that awful wind my headache came back. Not gone yet & it's annoying me! Dallas on. Kristin back (Dusty).

26th April 1981

Windy day but it didn't rain. Wintry too. Never mind, had radio on & washed hair (which needed it)! Rpt of Pearl Harbour film 'Tora! Tora! Tora!'

27th April 1981

BACK TO SCHOOL. 8.45. DL going out with girl from Cadets - don't bother me though. Saw him at school. Sunny day but cold when sun in!

28th April 1981

Weather dull but bearable. Listened to transistor radio at school. Bucks Fizz STILL No.1. Saw DL twice. Yest got book off Juz (Fluke). Watched car accid progr.

29th April 1981

Lessons didn't exactly excite me but I can tell you who did! Yes, DL! Denim jacket an all! PAID DEPOS (£1) for trip to Alton Towers.

30th April 1981

Saw DL first thing in morning - on way to school & on Peel stairs landing before registration (didn't see him after that). Town & watched Bush telly. Other being fixed.
